Design and Build. Small kitchen extension, Surrey

Renovation of a property in an area of archaeological interest

In-house expertise measured and designed working drawings for the kitchen extension and internal alterations. The extension provided a new entrance to the house, cloakroom and kitchen. Our team of highly skilled carpenters and bricklayers crafted features matching those of the existing building so as to blend the new with the old. As the existing property was occupied during the works, due consideration was necessary to minimise disruption to the client.

Client recommendation:
“I have worked with Ian and Marc Farminer, and their crew, pretty much solidly for about the last four-and-a-half years, where they have transformed and enhanced the house that I live in into a beautiful, traditionally authentic period domain which was described by the likes of Savills and Strutt & Parker as "very difficult to value as there is nothing on the market that comes close to the detail involved in this house".

I believe that is the best possible testament to Farminer Developments.

They are adaptable, honest, reliable, polite, tidy, clean and, most importantly, carry out their work with utmost diligence, whilst maintaining a great sense of appreciation and humour about what they are doing.

I wholly recommend them and would use them again in a heartbeat.”
